The tertiary structure of protein FAM151A as predicted by AlphaFold2, visualized using Blender. The transmembrane domain is exluded for aesthetic purposes.
The protein contains two DUF2181 domains. AlphaFold2's structure prediction agrees with all of the previous known information on the protein: the transmembrane alpha helix is predicted correctly, the two DUF2181s are properly separated, and the structure of the domains (shown in Figure \ref{fig:dufs}) is correctly predicted as a TIM barrel fold, which is known from homology between DUF2181 and bacterial glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterases.
